Hi everybody my name is JonVonColorado. Some of you in the Denver music scene will know me just as JonVon cuz I’ve been around and about working with other people and playing music for a long time in this city. I played for many years with a band called Soul Rabbit with this fella named Bret Sloan. I have book shows at many venues in the Denver area and I currently play bass and produce music and manage all of our marketing materials for the Dallet band.

I am one of the few, the proud, the native to these shores. I am not a transplant.

I am a web developer, an artist and most importantly a longsuffering musician and producer and I helped held all of the bands that I have been in and worked with in the past to establish a presence online, record great music to look good while they’re doing it. So I decided to offer my services to more than just my tight knit group of homies and see if anyone out there is interested in joining my motley gang of Colorado musicians, mixing it up with the larger musical world, and parading about as a member of my Annointed Superhero Dumb Friends League of Evil Genius.

So, I am starting a Rocky Mountain Record Label of sorts. That just might be the dumbest thing I could possibly put my energy into at this point in history – what with the rise of streaming, the decline of the music sales, and the pandemic completely obliterating our ability to make any sort of living in the music industry unless you’re John Legend or some bubblegum Disney Pop Star.

Real Roots Americana music is suffering. I am suffering. I want to rise from the ashes.

I am in the middle of setting up all the other websites of the artists that I work with right now so I don’t have a ton of time to expound infinitely in this blog post but I do want to introduce myself and say howdy and welcome and look for more to come from Major Delinquent Records very soon. I’m still figuring out what I think it’s all about. It’s all about the bird. The bird is the word. bird bird bird…

I will definitely soon explain this vision, the kind of artists I’d like to work with, the kind of music that I’d like to produce, and where I see myself contributing to this music business at 303.970.5280. We have all suffered greatly over the last year, especially those of us who depend on the music scene for our livelihoods in some way. I’m really hoping to help myself everybody else in Denver music get a leg up and make a great summer out of 2021.

I have been tiring of any available social life consisting of online bickering, whining, complaining and fighting. Even live streaming is getting old; it’s a poor excuse for the primal experience that music should be. I want to get out and mix it up and hear the music with my own ears and chest boom through the air amid the rising thump of the heartbeat of the crowd.

Anyways… We’ll see you guys out there. Here’s to a great 2021 and I hope to accomplished SOMETHIGN with Major Delinquent Records this year. Lets see if we can get a shit load of people back out listening to live music. I miss the people. I miss the music. I miss all of you.
